Noc Technician I

The role involves proactive and reactive network monitoring for Cable One backbone and HFC networks, acting as the first contact for network issues, and supporting 24/7 network operations.

Location: Multiple states including AL, AR, AZ, FL, GA, IA, ID, IL, IN, KS, LA, MD, MO, MS, NC, ND, NE, NM, NV, OR, OK, PA, SC, SD, TN, TX, UT

Responsibilities

• Monitor network sites and analyze network monitoring tools to identify component deterioration.
• Act as first tier in alert response and incident/problem resolution for the Cable One network.
• Perform initial troubleshooting and data gathering to resolve issues efficiently.
• Ensure proper escalation to technology operations teams and local system technicians.
• Coordinate communication and send status updates to stakeholders and departments.
• Maintain detailed logs of incidents and resolutions.
• Ensure smooth shift handovers and proper escalation of network events.

Requirements

• At least 3 months related experience or training, experience in a Network Operations environment preferred.
• Flexibility to work alternate shifts to support 24/7 operations.
• Ability to work under pressure.
• Cisco Certified Technician (CCT) preferred.
• Knowledge of modems and basic networking preferred.
