The role is for a Data Scientist supporting Amgen's Finance Transformation by using advanced analytics, AI/ML modeling, and data visualization to improve business performance and enable data-driven decision making.

Responsibilities
- Support design, build and maintenance of a platform to analyze financial and non-financial information for enterprise transformation and opportunity identification.
- Support the buildout of a platform for workforce transformation connecting data domains for better decision making.
- Develop and maintain financial and non-financial baselines for programs and initiatives, identifying trends and opportunities.
- Create a management reporting capability based on data analysis and visualization.
- Analyze data to answer key questions from senior leaders and communicate opportunities for value delivery.
- Lead cross-functional analytics projects from start to finish, building relationships with business leaders and analyzing data.
- Partner with business areas to share data methodologies and support implementation.
- Assist in developing business cases and strategic recommendations, perform ad hoc analyses, and support projects.
- Interact with finance and resource planning groups to understand impact on budgets and long-range plans.
- Develop executive communications and present insights to senior leadership.
Requirements
- Proficiency in coding (R, Python, SQL), data libraries (Numpy, Pandas), and AI/ML tools.
- Experience with statistical/mathematical modeling and working with structured and unstructured data.
- Experience automating data workflows and developing analytical dashboards (Tableau, Python, R, Alteryx, Powerapps, UI Path).
- Understanding of the Bio-Pharmaceutical industry.
- Critical thinking and ability to solve complex problems.
- Strong collaboration skills across cross-functional teams.
- Comfortable working in a start-up environment within a new data-driven transformation group.
