Localization Project Manager

The Project Manager is responsible for planning, executing, tracking, delivering, and closing client projects, working closely with clients and global teams to ensure successful project outcomes based on Welocalize's core pillars of Customer Service, Quality, Innovation, and Global Teamwork.

Responsibilities

• Project planning, scoping, requirements gathering and validation with client.
• Identifying and working with relevant stakeholders to plan and resource projects in terms of quality, cost, and schedule.
• Risk analysis and contingency planning.
• Leading internal and external teams to successful project execution and delivery.
• Creating schedules and monitoring timeliness of delivery.
• Managing the project budget and controlling costs.
• Establishing and nurturing relationships with customers, internal teams, and external suppliers.
• Overseeing project activities and resolving issues.
• Seeking ways to optimize delivery, client satisfaction, quality, and profitability.
• Reporting on project scope, financials, progress, and status to stakeholders.
• Keeping finance systems updated and accurate.
• Process documentation and knowledge management.
• Managing project margins to ensure profitability.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in a related field.
• Proven project management experience in a fast-paced, client-centric environment, ideally in translation or localization.
• Knowledge of the translation industry and emerging trends.
• Success in managing large accounts and projects.
• Curiosity and creativity for process and approach innovation.
• Experience in process development.
• Experience in financial management and budget control.
• Customer relationship management and business development skills.
• Availability to travel for work.
