Full-Stack JavaScript Engineer (Remote - LATAM or Europe)

POS+ builds foundational payment interface software for modern retail, B2B, and service transactions, focusing on high data integrity, availability, low latency, and offline capabilities. They seek a senior full-stack JavaScript engineer to architect scalable systems and maintain high-quality code.

Location: Remote / USA (targeting LATAM or Europe time zones)

Responsibilities

• Architect, build, and maintain highly scalable full-stack features using Node.js, React, and TypeScript.
• Optimize complex database queries and schema designs (SQL/NoSQL) for high transaction volumes.
• Secure and scale RESTful and WebSocket APIs for real-time synchronization between POS software and cloud infrastructure.
• Identify and eliminate technical debt, enforce linting, type safety, and testing frameworks.
• Collaborate directly with core product and engineering leadership as an independent contractor.

Requirements

• 5+ years of professional experience with production-grade full-stack JavaScript/TypeScript applications.
• Experience with asynchronous programming challenges, race conditions, memory management, and event-driven architectures in Node.js.
• Deep knowledge of React state management, rendering optimization, and building accessible, modular UI components.
• Strong communication skills in English.
• Experience with cloud infrastructure (AWS/GCP), CI/CD pipelines, and Dockerized environments is a plus.
