Freelance Translator - Product Information (LATAM Spanish)

Farfetch is a leading global marketplace for luxury fashion, connecting customers worldwide with a vast selection of brands and boutiques. The company is seeking a Translator (Product Information) for LATAM Spanish to localize product content and enhance the customer experience.

Location: Porto

Responsibilities

• Translate and localise product information, including detailed descriptions of materials, fabric compositions, and size & fit elements.
• Localise and adapt Farfetch’s product catalogue and associated content for the LATAM Spanish market.
• Ensure projects are delivered on time and meet quality standards.
• Maintain translation memories and terminology databases for consistency.
• Ensure consistency in language and tone across descriptions.
• Utilise and contribute to localisation tools and technology.

Requirements

• Native-level fluency in LATAM Spanish.
• Experience in luxury e-commerce content translation and localisation.
• Experience translating technical product details such as fabric compositions and size & fit.
• Cultural sensitivity and ability to craft customer-centric content.
• Experience managing translation workflows, using translation memories, and maintaining terminology databases.
• Familiarity with localisation and translation tools (e.g., TMS, Machine Translation).
• Experience with SEO and e-commerce platforms like Shopify or Magento is a plus.
• Strong team player with attention to detail and ability to manage multiple projects.
