District of Columbia Remote Mental Health Licensed Therapist, 1099 Contract

Headspace is seeking a part-time, independently licensed DC therapist to provide virtual mental health care on a 1099 contract basis. The role involves delivering teletherapy sessions, collaborating with a multidisciplinary team, and supporting members' mental health needs.

Location: Remote (US)

Salary: $80–$85 per teletherapy session (DC)

Responsibilities

• Provide high quality, innovative, tele-therapy to Headspace patients over a HIPAA compliant video conferencing platform.
• Complete, sign and lock clinical case notes in EMR within 48 hours of session.
• Maintain your personalized database for licensure and personal information.
• Keep your availability calendar up to date.
• Work with a collaborative care team including health coaches, other therapists, psychiatrists, and external care providers.

Requirements

• 3+ years experience providing clinical psychotherapy to individuals, couples or families.
• An independent clinical license to practice in good standing (Master or Doctoral level).
• Ability to offer at least 10 sessions per week, with flexibility for more.
• Night and weekend availability is a plus.
• Clinical competence in evidence-based practices (CBT, DBT, ACT, Mindfulness, etc.) and measurement-based care.
• Experience with risk management and higher acuity cases.
• Knowledge and commitment to culturally responsive care.
• Familiarity with care delivery technology (applications, EMR, video conferencing).
• Reliable internet connection and a secure location for teletherapy.
• Effective communication skills and ability to work within interdisciplinary teams.
