Director, Developer Relations

VAST Data is seeking a Director, Developer Relations to connect their technical teams with the user community, promote their platform through workshops, content, and evangelism, and support customer success in AI and data infrastructure.

Location: Remote (US)

Responsibilities

• Represent VAST Data at industry conferences, meetups, and events as a keynote or featured speaker
• Design and deliver technical workshops showcasing VAST Data's platform capabilities
• Build relationships with developer communities, AI practitioners, and data engineers
• Nurture the active community of VAST Data customers and partners
• Develop technical content including tutorials, blog posts, videos, and documentation
• Create workshop materials for in-person and virtual delivery
• Build demo applications, reference architectures, and proof-of-concept implementations
• Design hands-on labs focusing on data pipelines and AI workflows for DevOps and MLOps audiences
• Create reusable assets demonstrating best practices for data platform implementations
• Build and showcase integration patterns between VAST Data and AI frameworks
• Serve as a technical advisor to SEs and customers implementing VAST Data solutions
• Collaborate with product teams to improve products based on customer feedback
• Develop proof-of-concept AI agents and data pipelines leveraging VAST Data infrastructure
• Create educational content on AI development workflows with VAST Data
• Collaborate with partners to showcase VAST Data in AI pipelines
• Stay current on emerging AI technologies and frameworks

Requirements

• Experience with modern AI frameworks and data processing technologies
• Familiarity with distributed computing concepts and technologies
• Software development experience in Python, SQL, vector databases, etc.
• Background in developer relations, advocacy, or technical evangelism
• Excellent public speaking abilities with experience presenting to large audiences
• Strong technical writing skills with a portfolio of technical content
• Experience creating and delivering technical workshops or training programs
• Ability to translate complex technical concepts into clear narratives
