Design Engineer Part-Time

USB Club is seeking a multi-faceted design engineer to develop and enhance a platform that connects artists, designers, DJs, writers, musicians, researchers, and engineers through innovative USB-based and digital network solutions.

Location: Remote (US)

Salary: $40–75/hr

Responsibilities

• Product Roadmapping, Research & Strategy: Develop and iterate on USB Club's platform, including network access, USB privileges, artist content sales, cloud backup for DJs and musicians, and integrations with knowledge graph platforms.
• Product & Web Design: Design and develop the MacOS desktop app, iOS app, and website, ensuring seamless file sharing and network interaction.
• Engineering: Build and maintain the Electron desktop app, native iOS app, website in Vue/Next.js, API in Typescript and PostgresQL, dashboards in Retool, and integrations with Typeform & Airtable.
• Social, Posters, Campaigns & Messaging: Develop and execute culture-building campaigns, posters, and messaging strategies to foster community and culture around USB Club.

Requirements

• Ability to design and code, with understanding of cultural, artistic, music, and research spaces.
• Experience with Electron, Vue/Next.js, Typescript, PostgresQL, Retool, Typeform, Airtable.
• Strong self-sufficiency in coding and product development.
• Ability to build and ship production-grade features independently.
