Data Analyst

The Data Analyst at Stio is a key member of the Data & Analytics team, working to expand data-driven decision-making across the business. The role involves working with data infrastructure, analysis, BI development, and stakeholder collaboration in a remote setting.

Location: Remote

Salary: $85,000–$100,000/yr

Responsibilities

• Partner with stakeholders across various departments to translate questions into analyses, dashboards, and data products.
• Build and maintain dbt models for trustworthy datasets.
• Develop and maintain dashboards and reports for daily operations.
• Own metric definitions and drive alignment on business semantics.
• Review and validate AI-generated SQL, dbt models, and Python code.
• Investigate ambiguous data questions and reconcile conflicting definitions.
• Help build and maintain data infrastructure including Snowflake, Fivetran, dbt, GitHub, Power BI, R, and Python.
• Improve data governance through documentation.
• Continuously develop skills in data analytics.

Requirements

• 3+ years of professional experience as a data analyst or similar role.
• Advanced SQL skills including CTEs and window functions.
• Hands-on experience with dbt, including writing models, tests, and documentation.
• Experience with cloud data warehouses (Snowflake, BigQuery, etc.).
• Version control experience with Git/GitHub.
• Experience with BI tools (Power BI, Tableau, Looker, etc.).
• Knowledge of AI-assisted development for analytics.
• Ability to build collaborative relationships with non-technical stakeholders.
• Comfortable presenting findings verbally, in writing, and visually.

Additional Information

• Base salary range is $85,000-$100,000, determined by experience and skills.
