Delivery driver responsible for picking up and delivering time-sensitive materials following company procedures and safety requirements.

Location: Kingston, Jamaica

Responsibilities

• Drive company vehicle to customer sites under tight deadlines, including climbing in and out of vehicle and walking up and down stairs in all weather conditions
• Pick up, handle, and deliver time-sensitive documents and packages safely and punctually, considering traffic and driving conditions
• Ensure all delivery materials are safely delivered to the correct consignee
• Collect customer payments for COD packages and submit invoices and payments to Finance daily
• Confirm deliveries and collections with dispatch by radio
• Operate scanner to record shipping and package information
• Report security breaches or unusual happenings to Lead Courier
• Report to work on time and adhere to safety procedures
• Perform other duties as assigned

Requirements

• English verbal and written proficiency
• Strong interpersonal skills
• Excellent customer service skills
• Self-starter, motivated, and organized
• Ability to work under pressure
• Valid General Driver’s License for vehicles 3000 kg or above, older than 3 years
• Clean police record
• High School Diploma or Equivalent (GED)
• Map reading and GPS skills, knowledge of delivery area (preferred)
• Previous professional driving experience, preferably in delivery
