Responsibilities
- Investigate and manage a caseload of CGL claims including premises liability, slip and fall, product liability, construction defect, and contractual liability exposures.
- Drive timely claim resolution through proactive management and documentation.
- Analyze complex policy language to determine coverage applicability.
- Conduct liability investigations, review incident reports, contracts, and medical records.
- Manage litigated files, oversee defense counsel, and participate in litigation processes.
- Negotiate settlements within delegated authority, evaluate settlement value.
- Identify and pursue risk transfer opportunities, including additional insured tenders, contractual indemnity, and subrogation.
- Maintain communication with insureds, claimants, brokers, clients, and internal stakeholders.
- Maintain thorough documentation, ensure compliance with regulations, and participate in audits.
- Support organizational quality initiatives, process improvements, and team development.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience.
- Adjuster licensing as required by jurisdiction(s).
- Minimum of 5+ years of commercial general liability claims handling experience, with preference for litigated and construction-related claims.
