Commissioning Senior Project Manager

The role is for a remote Senior Project Manager specializing in commissioning of critical facilities, focusing on electrical and mechanical systems, working with a team and interacting with clients, designers, and contractors in mission-critical environments.

Location: Remote - work virtually from anywhere in the United States. Must be located near a major US airport.

Salary: $133k–$160k

Responsibilities

• Manage all elements of commissioning projects including project initiation, kickoff, RFIs and submittals
• Coordinate resource and material forecasting
• Develop, manage and monitor schedule
• Participate in, schedule and lead project meetings
• Coordinate / perform QA / QC and Cx plans and specifications to ensure completion in accordance with the project scope and appropriate guidelines and manuals
• Communicate and coordinate project staffing needs
• Oversee start-up, cutover, pre-functional or functional testing and project closeout
• Onboard project team for mobilization
• Prepare project progress reports for internal and external stakeholders
• Lead preparation of final commissioning report for submission to client
• Develop testing plans and procedures for complex projects

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering, construction or related discipline
• Two years’ experience with installation, hands-on testing, validation and troubleshooting of mechanical, controls and / or electrical infrastructure
• Minimum eight years’ additional experience with installation, hands-on testing, validation and troubleshooting of mechanical, controls and / or electrical infrastructure
