Certified Professional Coder

Logan Health is seeking an experienced Certified Professional Coder to join their remote team in Montana, focusing on accurate medical coding, billing, and data abstraction to support healthcare reimbursement and compliance.

Location: Remote (Montana)

Salary: $23.50–$31.73 per hour

Responsibilities

• Assigns and sequences ICD 10 CM and CPT 4 codes for various patient types including inpatient, outpatient, ambulatory, and emergency room records.
• Reviews and analyzes medical records for document deficiencies and ensures accurate reflection of diagnoses and procedures.
• Reviews charges, ensures accuracy, and checks for medical necessity for ordered tests and procedures.
• Accurately abstracts clinical data to meet regulatory and compliance requirements.
• Follows coding guidelines and legal requirements for compliance.
• Verifies accuracy of patient account, demographic data, and coordinates corrections for billing and reimbursement.
• Meets productivity standards set by the Revenue Integrity Coding department.
• Supports continuous quality improvement efforts.
• Participates in continuing education to enhance skills.

Requirements

• At least one year of professional coding work experience.
• Holds a nationally recognized coding certificate (CCA, CCS, CPC, or AAPC).
• Knowledge of ICD 10 CM and CPT 4 coding guidelines.
• Excellent organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
