Canadian French-English Audio Recording Participant

A project-based role for bilingual Canadian French and English speakers to participate in audio data collection for AI training, focusing on natural, code-switching conversations in customer support scenarios.

Salary: $90 USD per hour

Responsibilities

• Participate in recorded conversations using both Canadian French (Canada) and English following project guidelines.
• Collaborate with another participant to perform customer support-style roleplay recordings.
• Follow recording instructions to ensure audio quality and proper channel separation.
• Deliver recordings that reflect natural speech patterns and realistic code-switching between languages.
• Complete assigned recordings and related project tasks within project deadlines.

Requirements

• Native speaker of Canadian French (spoken in Canada).
• At least intermediate fluency in English.
• Comfortable speaking naturally in both languages during recorded conversations.
• Access to a quiet recording environment with minimal background noise.
• Access to a computer, laptop, or mobile device with a functioning microphone and internet connection.
• Must complete the task within the expected timeframe after onboarding.

• This is a high-priority, fast-paced project to help train AI systems in understanding natural, real-world conversations involving code-switching.
• Participants will record up to 1 hour of total audio per pair, with a maximum of 30 minutes of speaking time per individual.
• No professional studio or special equipment required; standard mobile phone or laptop microphones are sufficient.
• Participants should practice the script beforehand to ensure natural delivery.
