Associate Director, Thought Leader Liaison - Hematology - West Region

The Thought Leader Liaison (TLL) is responsible for supporting brand strategic initiatives, engaging with key opinion leaders (KOLs), advocacy development, and managing scientific congresses within the hematology-oncology or rare disease therapeutic areas. The role involves cross-functional collaboration, KOL relationship building, and ensuring compliant communication and engagement at national and regional levels.

Location: Remote (US)

Salary: $200,000–$220,000

Responsibilities

• Support Brand Strategic Initiatives by participating in cross-functional teams, facilitating advisory boards, and recruiting healthcare professional consultants.
• Engage with KOLs to cultivate long-term relationships, attend industry congresses, and align resources with top KOLs.
• Manage communications by providing competitive intelligence and insights to shape brand strategy.
• Oversee regional congress management, including budgeting, contracting, coordination, and follow-up activities.
• Travel up to 90% of the time, including overnight stays.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in a related field.
• 2+ years of experience as a Thought Leader Liaison in Hematology-oncology or rare diseases.
• Additional experience in product marketing or medical/clinical roles within the pharmaceutical/biotech industry.
• Ability to partner with cross-functional teams and present ideas effectively.
• Strong organizational, project management, analytical, and planning skills.
• Ability to manage multiple projects and execute plans under tight timelines.
• Valid driver’s license and willingness to travel.
