Associate Director, Financial Crimes Advisory - Remote, US

The position is for a Director – Data & Analytics at AML RightSource, a leading provider of financial crime compliance advisory services, supporting clients globally with expertise in AML, sanctions, and fraud.

Location: Remote, U.S.

Salary: $170,000 - $200,000 annually

Responsibilities

• Lead the delivery of AML, Sanctions, and Fraud engagements, including model validations, data reviews, risk assessments, system implementations, and training.
• Serve as the engagement leader, providing direction and mentorship to teams, and establishing trust with clients.
• Provide strategic oversight and expert evaluation of clients’ financial crimes programs, assessing regulatory compliance and industry best practices.
• Review and prepare reports and documents, ensuring quality and clarity.
• Manage risks and issues proactively, communicate with senior leadership and clients, and foster strong relationships.
• Identify opportunities for additional services and support sales efforts.
• Lead internal initiatives, recruit, mentor, and develop team members, and support company growth.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Mathematics, Statistics, Information System Management, Data Science, or equivalent experience.
• 12+ years of relevant AML/Sanctions/Fraud experience in industry or consulting.
• 8+ years in managerial or leadership roles.
• 10+ years of SQL coding experience, including advanced techniques.
• 8+ years of Python scripting for data analysis.
• Strong knowledge of Machine Learning, AI, and LLMs.
• Excellent analytical, communication, and project management skills.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and work independently or collaboratively.
• Experience in financial crimes risk management and industry regulations.
• Network of financial services contacts and experience in selling advisory services.
