AI Automation Engineer, In-House MarTech Video SaaS

Vidalytics is seeking an AI Automation Engineer to build AI agents, chains, prompts, reusable skills, and cross-system automations to make the company AI native. The role involves working closely with revenue teams and other departments to automate workflows, improve efficiency, and help team members become AI native.

Location: Austin, TX

Responsibilities

• Build AI agents and chains that do real work end to end, not chatbots that just talk.
• Write, version, and test prompts like code. Build reusable skills the whole org can run.
• Stand up cross system automations (n8n, Zapier, and custom code) that wire our tools together so work flows without a human babysitting it.
• Make each team at Vidalytics AI native, helping team members become self-sufficient in automation.
• Ship internal tools and automations to improve company efficiency.
• Build evals and observability for AI systems to measure, monitor, trace, and control costs.
• Ground AI outputs in company data (retrieval / RAG) for accuracy.
• Diagnose failures, kill hallucinations, and build guardrails for system reliability.
• Assist with AEO / GEO initiatives.

Requirements

• Ability to choose the right AI tools, models, and agents without endless tinkering.
• Experience shipping AI systems in production with real results.
• A few years of hands-on AI experience on top of strong engineering background.
• Proficiency in coding, databases, APIs, and wiring systems.
• Build evals and observability as a default habit.
• Production-grade reliability in shipped systems.
• A portfolio or concrete examples of past work and results.
• Overlap with US Eastern time zone working hours.
• Fluent with frontier models like Claude and understanding their use cases.
• Experience with Claude Code and Claude Cowork.
• Comfort with AI native hosting and deployment (e.g., Vercel).
• Hands-on with automation tools like n8n and Zapier, knowing when to write custom code.
• Ground AI outputs in real data with retrieval / RAG.
