A Finance Accountant role based in India, managing corporate banking, payroll, compliance, and financial reporting for a multi-geography RPA, CXone, and AI consultancy.

Responsibilities
- Manage daily cash balances across Indian (INR) and foreign currency (EEFC) bank accounts.
- Coordinate with banks for inward remittances, FIRC documentation, and cross-border wire transfers.
- Perform regular multi-currency bank reconciliations, accounting for foreign exchange variations.
- Handle banking documentation required by the Reserve Bank of India (RBI) for IT service exports.
- Execute end-to-end monthly payroll processing for India-based employees and global contractors.
- Structure employee compensation baskets, ensuring accurate computing of basic salary, HRA, and allowances.
- Manage international payroll runs through Employer of Record (EOR) platforms or global payroll software.
- Validate monthly invoices, timesheets, and payouts for external software developers.
- Oversee multi-geography statutory workflows, adapting financial practices to meet local regulations across all active corporate regions.
- Calculate, deposit, and file monthly statutory returns including PF, ESIC, and Professional Tax (PT).
- Compute and deposit monthly Tax Deducted at Source (TDS) on salaries (Section 192) and vendor payments.
- Prepare quarterly TDS returns (Form 24Q and Form 26Q) and issue annual Form 16 to employees.
- Ensure strict accounting compliance with Indian Accounting Standards (Ind AS) or standard Indian GAAP.
- Lead the monthly financial book close, recording payroll accruals, depreciation, and amortizations.
- Monitor milestone-based client billing and manage deferred revenue for IT service contracts.
- Assist corporate tax consultants with annual filing data and Goods and Services Tax (GST) compliance.
- Prepare localized balance sheets, profit & loss reports, and monthly cash flow statements.
Requirements
- B.Com, M.Com, or Inter-CA / Inter-CMA qualification.
- 3+ years of corporate accounting experience, preferably within an IT Services or software company.
- Expert understanding of Indian payroll laws, TDS provisions, PF/ESI schemes, and labor regulations.
- Hands-on experience with cloud accounting tools (e.g., Zoho Books, Tally Prime, Xero) and payroll systems (e.g., Zoho Payroll, RazorpayX, Keka).
- Solid foundation in double-entry bookkeeping, multi-currency processing, and advanced Microsoft Excel.
