Unified Collaboration Engineer – Senior

This position is the primary user adoption and training resource for Microsoft 365 tenant workloads, creating and delivering various end-user training content and providing technical support for Microsoft 365 services.

Location: Remote (US)

Salary: $47.50 - $71.25 per hour

Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and manage Active Directory domains, user accounts, group policies, and related identity services in a hybrid enterprise environment.
• Architect, deploy, and manage Azure Active Directory (Entra ID), including hybrid identity scenarios, federation, conditional access, and integration with on‑premises Active Directory.
• Administer and optimize Microsoft 365 services, including Exchange Online, SharePoint Online, Microsoft Teams, OneDrive for Business, and Microsoft 365 Copilot.
• Own identity, permissions, licensing, and access controls across the Microsoft ecosystem, ensuring alignment with security, compliance, and governance standards.
• Lead planning and execution of migrations from legacy systems to Microsoft 365, including tenant configuration, data migration, and deployment of new services and features.
• Provide advanced troubleshooting and root‑cause analysis for complex identity and collaboration issues; proactively monitor platform health and implement performance and reliability improvements.
• Implement, maintain, and continuously improve security controls related to identity, access, data protection, and collaboration services.
• Ensure Microsoft environments meet regulatory, privacy, and organizational compliance requirements, partnering with security and compliance teams as needed.
• Collaborate with cross‑functional IT teams and business stakeholders to support enterprise collaboration initiatives and shared objectives.
• Maintain comprehensive technical documentation, standards, and operational procedures; provide guidance and mentorship to associate‑ and mid‑level engineers.

Requirements

• 3-5 years of hands-on Microsoft 365 applications training/support experience.
• Minimum of 2 years of instructional design in a technical space.
