Team Lead - FPGA Development

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain high-level and detailed FPGA design specifications.
• Work with FPGA developers on design, coding, testing, and implementation.
• Oversee FPGA design specifications development, coordinating with product, software, and hardware teams.
• Manage FPGA staff including scheduling, verification, and progress monitoring.
• Advise management on FPGA development tools, methodologies, and guidelines.
• Schedule and assign verification and development tasks.
• Assist in prioritizing bugs and managing load building and releases.
• Schedule code inspections and support hardware and project managers.
• Assist in training staff and perform related duties.

Requirements

• Senior level FPGA design experience including system architecture, resets, clock domains, flow control, processing, arbitration.
• Experience with FPGA building blocks, high-speed transceivers, DDR4/5 interfaces, PLLs, PCIe.
• Design implementation skills including tool design flows, place and route optimization, timing closure.
• Experience with AMD (Xilinx) and Altera (Intel) devices and associated tools.
• Strong Verilog and SystemVerilog coding and verification skills.
• Familiarity with C, C++, and other design languages.
• Above average Windows and Linux skills.
• Post-secondary degree in Engineering or related area with experience.
• Knowledge of television production and digital video/audio standards is a plus.
• Minimum 5 years FPGA & HW development experience, especially in Video/Audio technologies.
• Leadership, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
