Staff Product Engineer (Florianópolis)

LawnStarter is a leading on-demand marketplace for lawn care and outdoor services, expanding into a broader home services platform with a focus on AI-driven engineering.

Location: Florianópolis, Brazil

Salary: USD $80,000–$100,000 annual base

Responsibilities

• Shape the technical approach including architecture, data model, integration, rollout, observability, and rollback strategies.
• Ensure the quality, safety, and velocity of AI agents implementing code for the initiative.
• Partner with product managers and designers daily, and with engineering managers weekly, to manage the initiative's health and progress.
• Own the outcome of the initiative, including post-launch review and metric analysis.

Requirements

• Deep skill in at least one of the company's tech stacks plus credible production experience with AI coding agents.
• Experience operating at lead level (Senior, Staff, Lead, or Principal) with a history of making technical decisions and shipping complex solutions.
• Outcome-driven with a focus on metrics and customer/pros outcomes.
• Strong horizontal partnership skills with product and design teams.
• Decisive, documented decision-making in architecture, data models, and rollout plans.
• Ability to leave reusable artifacts that benefit other engineers.
