Staff Engineer, Ford Pro Intelligence

Seeking a visionary Staff Engineer to lead data and AI-driven platforms, focusing on real-time data processing, AI integration, and scalable system architecture on Google Cloud Platform.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the technical North Star for data and AI-driven platforms.
• Evolve core architecture towards real-time data processing and AI integration.
• Design systems handling petabytes of data with millisecond latency.
• Architect multi-tenant API ecosystems.
• Build infrastructure for AI solutions that enhance customer experience.
• Influence multi-year technical roadmap and maintain high engineering standards.

Requirements

• Expert-level proficiency in Java and Python.
• Strong experience with Kotlin for backend services.
• Deep experience with GCP, including BigQuery, Dataflow, Vertex AI, GKE, and IAM.
• Mastery of SQL and data modeling.
• Proven track record in building real-time processing systems and batch ETL/ELT pipelines.
• Experience deploying AI/ML models in production, prompt engineering, fine-tuning, and working with vector databases.
• Expert knowledge of distributed systems, CAP theorem, microservices, and event-driven architecture.
• Strategic thinking to identify opportunities for innovation.
• Excellent communication skills to explain complex concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
• Ability to execute projects in a fast-paced environment and navigate ambiguity.
