TE Connectivity is seeking a Senior Manager for Manufacturing & Process Development Engineering - Power Cables for their Digital Data Networks business unit. The role involves leading a team of engineers to develop assembly processes for power cable assemblies and coordinating with manufacturing teams for mass production, with a focus on process innovation and quality standards.
Location: Remote (US)
Salary: $158,600 – $237,900 (subject to change depending on location)
Responsibilities
- Allocate and balance work across direct reports; review and provide performance feedback; mentor, develop, and motivate team members.
- Lead a team of engineers to develop power cable assembly manufacturing processes in accordance with LEANPD product development.
- Drive excellence in existing manufacturing technologies and methods.
- Implement new manufacturing technologies to improve process and tolerance control.
- Support product development in design optimization (DFM) and manufacturability, including tooling, samples, and prototypes.
- Design, develop, and qualify tooling and processes to meet quality and production standards.
- Support supply chain verification of supplier compliance and capability.
- Act as the interface between product development and manufacturing engineering.
- Maintain communication with project management to understand strategic needs.
- Prioritize and manage a portfolio of projects based on criticality and business needs.
- Provide updates to senior management.
- Coordinate with Mexico operations for resource allocation.
- Facilitate cross-functional communication across global teams.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in mechanical or electrical engineering or related field.
- 13+ years of related experience, including 8+ years in managerial roles at multinational manufacturing sites.
- Familiarity with Lean, Six Sigma, and industrial methods/tools.
- Experience in power cable assembly industry (preferred).
- Fluent in English with good presentation skills.
- Proficient with MS software.
- Knowledge of industrial specifications such as IPC 620.
- Experience with stamping, plating, molding, and assembly processes.
