Responsibilities
- Leading a high-performing engineering team in a transformation from a monolith to modern, domain-driven, product-led organization.
- Guiding engineering direction, shaping architecture, and delivering scalable, cloud-native solutions.
- Driving clarity, unblock delivery, and champion a culture of ownership, experimentation, and high standards.
- Hiring, developing, and coaching engineers, fostering a culture of ownership and accountability.
- Driving sprint planning, backlog prioritization, and ensuring high-quality feature delivery.
- Championing engineering best practices including design, testing, code review, and CI/CD.
- Providing technical leadership in architectural decisions, building scalable, secure, and observable systems.
- Collaborating with Product, UX, Data, and SRE teams for alignment and smooth releases.
- Ensuring operational excellence through on-call readiness, incident reviews, monitoring, and SLIs/SLOs.
- Removing friction, automating processes, and fostering a culture of continuous improvement.
Requirements
- Proven engineering management experience (3+ years) with hiring, coaching, and developing teams.
- Experience shipping production microservices or cloud-native applications using public cloud (AWS preferred).
- Practical understanding of DevOps & CI/CD, automated pipelines, Infrastructure as Code, and container orchestration (Kubernetes or equivalent).
- Experience with test strategy, automated testing, and code quality initiatives.
- Familiarity with monitoring, logging, and incident management practices for reliable operations.
- Strong communication skills for stakeholder management across product, design, SRE, and leadership.
- Strong coding experience in at least one modern language (e.g., Java, Kotlin, Python, Go, C#) and familiarity with system design and architecture patterns.
