Sun Coast Sciences is seeking a skilled, reliable Video Editor to create engaging video content for social media platforms, focusing on performance and audience retention. The role involves editing short-form and long-form videos, collaborating with the marketing team, and working remotely.

Location: Remote

Salary: Starting at $1,500/month, with opportunities to grow

Responsibilities

• Editing short-form content (Reels, TikTok, Shorts) for engagement and retention
• Editing long-form YouTube videos (talking head, tutorials, story-driven)
• Adding captions, motion graphics, transitions, sound design, and color grading
• Working from creative briefs and shaping them
• Collaborating with marketing team during US business hours (EST–PST)
• Managing multiple projects with fast turnaround times
• Iterating on edits based on feedback and performance data

Requirements

• 4+ years of professional video editing experience with brands, agencies, creators, or media teams
• Proficiency in Adobe Premiere Pro, CapCut, or similar software
• Strong portfolio showcasing short-form content optimized for engagement, retention, and conversions
• Understanding of hooks, pacing, storytelling, retention curves, and direct-response or eCommerce-style editing
• Ability to manage projects, deadlines, and work independently in a remote environment
• Reliable internet and capable editing setup
