Senior Strategic Financial Analyst – Growth

Instacart is seeking a Senior Strategic Financial Analyst to own topline forecasting, analyze revenue and unit economics, and support strategic decision-making within the Growth pillar of their Strategic Finance team. The role involves partnering with cross-functional teams, developing executive materials, and automating models to drive growth and efficiency.

Location: Remote (US and Canada)

Salary: $127,000–$160,500 USD (depending on location)

Responsibilities

• Own topline forecasting for Instacart’s Core grocery business, building and maintaining driver-based models.
• Lead proactive deep dives on revenue and unit economics to identify growth opportunities, surface risks, and recommend experiments.
• Partner cross-functionally with Product, Marketing, Business Development, and Data Science to align assumptions, improve data quality, and operationalize insights.
• Develop executive-ready materials including narrative memos, dashboards, and scenario analyses.
• Own initiative reporting across marketing, product, and enterprise programs; standardize measurement and track impact.
• Collaborate with other Strategic Finance teams to assess the impact of initiatives and support investor relations and company-wide planning.
• Refine and automate models and reporting for speed, accuracy, and scalability.

Requirements

• 3+ years of experience in strategic finance/FP&A, investment banking, or management consulting.
• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, Business, Engineering, Mathematics, or related field.
• Advanced proficiency in Excel or Google Sheets, including building driver-based financial models.
• Experience preparing and presenting executive materials to VP/C-suite stakeholders.
• Track record of owning end-to-end forecasting and performance reporting.
