Senior Mobile Engineer

Urbantz helps large retail, grocery, e-commerce, and logistics companies improve last-mile delivery operations with a SaaS platform. The company is seeking a mobile developer to build and improve native iOS and Android apps that support delivery drivers and recipients.

Location: Europe, in a time zone close to CET, within ±4 hours of travel.

Responsibilities

• Help shape and build features for the delivery app from idea to App Store release.
• Build features that improve the experience for delivery drivers and recipients, including scanning flows, notifications, and navigation.
• Refactor and modernise the iOS and Android codebases, reducing technical debt and improving architecture.
• Write tests to prevent regressions.
• Use AI tooling to work efficiently across platforms without compromising quality.

Requirements

• Experience in building native mobile apps (iOS or Kotlin) in a maintainable, well-architected way.
• Experience improving existing codebases through refactoring, better architecture, and increased test coverage.
• Knowledge of testing as a normal part of software development.
• Ability to work well in collaborative product teams, communicate clearly, and build alignment.
• Valuing quality of work and understanding of technical debt.
• Stay abreast of developments and best practices within relevant technologies.
• Positive attitude and willingness to learn.
• Residency in Europe, close to CET, within ±4 hours of travel.
• Experience working remotely and ability to work independently and collaboratively.
• Fluent in English.
