Senior Engineering Manager, Enterprise AI

Cloudera is seeking a Senior Engineering Manager to lead the development of their next-generation AI and machine learning platform, focusing on enterprise-grade solutions for data engineering, AI, and generative AI applications.

Location: Santa Clara, California or North America

Responsibilities

• Work with Product Managers to define product capabilities.
• Understand customer use cases and help customers use products effectively.
• Manage the growth of team members.
• Address gaps in team/process practices.
• Lead by example as a leader.

Requirements

• 10+ years of experience in building enterprise software.
• 4+ years of management experience.
• Experience building enterprise AI infrastructure and deploying generative AI applications.
• Strong communication skills.
• Understanding of engineering best practices.
• Experience with containerization frameworks like Kubernetes and Docker.
• Strong understanding of distributed systems and building systems at scale.
• Ability to drive architecture/design and provide technical guidance.
• Self-motivated with a strong sense of ownership.
