Location: Remote (Canada)

Responsibilities

• Architect Data Quality Frameworks: Design and build automated testing suites for data pipelines using Python and SQL.
• Shift Left in Data: Partner with Data Developers and Product Managers during the design phase to define data contracts, quality gates, and acceptance criteria.
• Automate Everything: Develop automated

• monitors and observability signals to catch anomalies in BigQuery and Airflow.
• Complex Validation: Perform validation on complex ELT/ETL processes to ensure data accuracy and security.
• CI/CD Integration: Implement and maintain data-specific testing within Git-based workflows.
• Continuous Improvement: Improve documentation, data governance, and team workflows.

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience in Data QA, focusing on testing complex SaaS/cloud data environments.
• Strong Python and SQL skills, with a software engineering mindset.
• Hands-on experience with GCP (BigQuery) and orchestration tools like Airflow.
• Familiarity with Pulumi or Terraform is a plus.
• Deep understanding of data modeling, performance diagnosis in SQL.
• Startup mindset: self-driven, thrive in fast-paced environments.
• B.S. or M.S. in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field.
