Senior Backend Engineer

Location: Remote (US) / San Francisco, CA

Salary: $170,000.00 - $195,000.00

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and maintain production services at scale
• Debug production issues across services and multiple levels of the stack
• Develop integrations between Fieldwire and external services and partners
• Lead technical architecture discussions and decisions
• Mentor other engineers on best practices
• Improve engineering standards, tooling, and processes
• Release a rapidly growing API with backward compatibility
• Build services with auto-scaling capabilities
• Architect end-to-end systems for real-time data syncing

Requirements

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science or equivalent work experience
• 5+ years of production web application experience
• Expertise in modern web application development and relational databases
• Ability to write clean, well-tested, and modular code
• Deep understanding of algorithms and data structures
