Northrop Grumman is seeking a Sector Scheduling & Factory Planning Lead responsible for creating and implementing master scheduling, factory planning, and production control strategies across the Defense Systems sector. The role involves developing governance, processes, and standards, guiding site teams, and ensuring alignment with overall production and delivery goals.
Location: On-site at various Northrop Grumman sites, with travel up to 50%.
Salary: $14,500–$217,600/yr
Responsibilities
- Develop and implement master production schedule templates across sites.
- Build and maintain master schedules in the MRP system.
- Guide production planning teams to follow the MPS.
- Collaborate with Manufacturing Engineering on capacity planning inputs.
- Create sector-wide standards and governance for master scheduling.
- Ensure alignment of IMS with MPS.
- Create and standardize factory planning processes and playbooks.
- Guide sites on capacity planning requirements.
- Integrate factory planning outputs into SIOP and S&OE.
- Lead continuous improvement initiatives using Lean, Six Sigma, and TOC.
- Build, coach, and mentor planning teams.
- Partner with manufacturing engineering and division teams for capacity inputs.
- Lead performance reviews and corrective actions.
- Serve as POC for SAP/S4 implementation.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Operations, or Supply Chain with 8+ years of experience, or Master's degree with 6+ years.
- 8+ years of manufacturing operations experience.
- At least 3 years in a senior planning or manufacturing leadership role.
- ERP expertise (SAP, Oracle, Microsoft Dynamics, Cost Point).
- Experience with data analytics tools (SQL, Python, Power BI, Tableau).
- Experience with APS systems (SAP APO, Kinaxis, Oracle Demantra).
- Knowledge of Lean, Six Sigma, and TOC principles.
- Proven team-building skills.
- Ownership and accountability mindset.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Ability to obtain and maintain a Top Secret security clearance.
