UN/COMMON is a digital experience and marketing agency that launches and grows emerging brands, focusing on authentic storytelling for consumer-facing brands. They are hiring a Retention Marketing Specialist to manage email and SMS campaigns, supporting brands like Rare Beauty and Liquid Death.
Location: Remote
Responsibilities
- Manage the full production process for email campaigns and automated flows.
- Build emails in Klaviyo or similar ESPs.
- Write on-brand copy.
- Create clear briefs for the design team.
- QA content and logic.
- Schedule deployments.
- Maintain the monthly content calendar.
- Drive timelines with clients.
- Support the Retention Marketing Strategist by pulling performance data, analyzing results, and developing recommendations.
- Build automated workflows, segmentation, and list logic.
- Maintain list hygiene.
- Work confidently with Shopify apps such as Yotpo, Loyalty Lion, JustUno, and Privy.
Requirements
- English proficiency (resume and responses in English).
- 2 years of experience in retention marketing, specifically across email, SMS, CRM, or loyalty programs.
- Hands-on experience with an Email Service Platform (ESP), preferably Klaviyo.
- Strong copywriting skills for DTC e-commerce.
- Understanding of email analytics and data insights.
- Knowledge of marketing campaigns vs. automated flows.
- Proficiency in building segmented customer lists.
- Experience working within Shopify or supporting Shopify-based clients.
- Proactive, organized approach, and ability to work in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.
