Applied Materials is seeking an experienced Physical Security Engineer to support sites in Singapore, China, and nearby areas. The role involves designing and engineering physical security systems for new construction and upgrades to existing facilities worldwide, collaborating with regional teams.

Responsibilities

Design and engineer physical security systems for new construction and upgrades.
Collaborate with regional teams on security system design.
Support multi-site, cross-country security deployments.
Create technical documentation including design drawings and specifications.
Support security projects across different stages of design and execution.

Requirements

5 years of experience in the design and engineering of enterprise physical security systems.
Proven expertise with platforms such as Software House C•CURE 9000, Avigilon, Genetec, Lenel, and other enterprise-grade security systems.
Strong understanding of global security standards, system integration, and infrastructure requirements.
Ability to produce high-quality technical documentation, including design drawings and specifications.
Strong understanding of network architecture, VLAN segmentation, PoE requirements, and cybersecurity fundamentals.
Ability to read and interpret construction documents, electrical drawings, low-voltage schematics, and server rack layouts.
Experience creating Bill of Materials (BOMs) and developing accurate, scalable cost models.
Experience supporting multi-site, cross-country security deployments.
Demonstrated success supporting 20–30 concurrent projects.
Experience working with Security Operations, GSOC teams, construction firms, Facilities, and IT infrastructure groups.
Experience operating within high-security, IP-sensitive facilities.
