Responsibilities
- Lead and manage a team of claims professionals handling agriculture and property claims.
- Deliver on objectives, overcoming challenges to exceed operational and performance targets.
- Implement and maintain best practices for claims handling, including intake, investigation, evaluation, settlement, and recovery.
- Monitor and analyze claims data to identify trends, patterns, and opportunities for process improvement.
- Ensure alignment of team performance with client and customer expectations.
- Serve as the primary escalation point for complex or disputed claims.
- Ensure the accuracy and adequacy of claim reserving practices.
- Develop and execute strategies to mitigate fraudulent claims and ensure compliance.
- Foster a positive and collaborative work environment.
- Take ownership of performance management, including hiring, training, and retaining claims professionals.
- Collaborate with internal teams to resolve escalated claims issues.
- Build and maintain relationships with external stakeholders.
- Prepare and present claims reports and analysis.
Requirements
- Chartered Institute Qualifications minimum of DIP CII or equivalent.
- 10+ years in insurance claims management in multiple lines of business.
- 8+ years management experience, preferably in a remote environment.
- Comfortable with technology and evolving claims systems.
- Demonstrated commitment to quality, accuracy, and attention to detail.
- Integrity, ethics, and accountability.
