Property Claims Director, UK

Reserv is an insurtech creating and incubating AI and automation technology to improve claims processing. They are venture-backed and focus on automating manual tasks in claims to set new standards for TPAs, insurance tech providers, and adjusters.

Location: United Kingdom

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage a team of claims professionals handling agriculture and property claims.
• Deliver on objectives, overcoming challenges to exceed operational and performance targets.
• Implement and maintain best practices for claims handling, including intake, investigation, evaluation, settlement, and recovery.
• Monitor and analyze claims data to identify trends, patterns, and opportunities for process improvement.
• Ensure alignment of team performance with client and customer expectations.
• Serve as the primary escalation point for complex or disputed claims.
• Ensure the accuracy and adequacy of claim reserving practices.
• Develop and execute strategies to mitigate fraudulent claims and ensure compliance.
• Foster a positive and collaborative work environment.
• Take ownership of performance management, including hiring, training, and retaining claims professionals.
• Collaborate with internal teams to resolve escalated claims issues.
• Build and maintain relationships with external stakeholders.
• Prepare and present claims reports and analysis.

Requirements

• Chartered Institute Qualifications minimum of DIP CII or equivalent.
• 10+ years in insurance claims management in multiple lines of business.
• 8+ years management experience, preferably in a remote environment.
• Comfortable with technology and evolving claims systems.
• Demonstrated commitment to quality, accuracy, and attention to detail.
• Integrity, ethics, and accountability.
