Product Manager Solar Inverters

Develop and execute solar inverter product line strategies over 1-2 year rolling time frames, managing the portfolio from idea generation through product launch, in the context of a 3-5 year Mid-Range Plan.

Salary: $145,900 - $218,900

Responsibilities

• Assess markets, potential clients, and competitors; recommend competitive options.
• Solicit input from business unit team members for new and enhanced products.
• Monitor sales and margins; report significant changes.
• Identify opportunities to expand product offerings into larger systems.
• Serve as conduit for new product ideas to the development team.
• Develop product requirement documents.
• Create and update sales and marketing collateral.
• Provide technical consulting, coaching, and training to sales teams.
• Develop relationships with suppliers.
• Build relationships with company contacts for issue resolution.
• Improve quality and delivery of power flow models.
• Promote the company brand internally and externally.
• Report results and analysis to management.
• Communicate product development plans and schedules.

Requirements

• BS degree in electrical, mechanical, or related engineering or equivalent experience.
• 3 years of application engineering or design experience in inverters and photovoltaic systems.
• 3 years of experience in product management or technical sales.
• Experience in utility scale power generation.
• Experience developing product roadmaps and long-term plans.
• Prioritization skills for business case development.
• Strong visual graphics capabilities.
• Excellent writing and presentation skills.
• Successful cross-functional collaboration.
• Positive relationships with clients and suppliers.
• Leadership, interpersonal, organizational, and communication skills.
• Continuous improvement in responsibilities.
• Proficiency in Word, Excel, PowerPoint.
• Availability to travel up to 25%, domestically and internationally.
