Product Design Lead

The role is for a Design Lead at PetroApp, responsible for unifying and leading the design of multiple apps and systems related to fleet fuel payments, consumer services, and internal tools. It involves hands-on design work, system thinking, and leadership.

Location: Egypt

Responsibilities

• Unify and build a coherent design system across multiple apps and platforms.
• Lead complex user flows including dense data dashboards, one-handed driver flows, and financial wallets.
• Own the design of PetroApp's consumer B2C app and its integration with fleet services.
• Lead the adoption of AI tools and new methods to improve design and product development processes.
• Conduct usability tests, analyze feedback, and make evidence-based design decisions.
• Mentor and grow the design team, conduct reviews, and help hire new designers.

Requirements

• 7+ years of experience designing real products, with experience leading complex projects.
• Built and maintained a design system that outlived the designer’s direct involvement.
• Experience working in B2B SaaS and consumer products, especially in regulated or financial sectors.
• Ability to think in systems and user journeys, not just screens.
• Proven impact on business through design.
• Proficiency in Figma, familiarity with AI tools, and openness to adopting new tools and methods.
• Experience with Arabic/RTL products or eagerness to learn and implement.
• Ability to work calmly under fuzzy briefs and tight timelines.
