Producer - Human Interface Design

The role is for a Producer in GM's Human Interface Design organization, focusing on design system governance and collaboration across vehicle, web, and mobile platforms.
Location: Hybrid (reporting to GM office three times per week)
Responsibilities
- Support scalable workflows and governance models for design delivery across web, mobile, and in-vehicle experiences.
- Assist in running design system governance, including intake, prioritization, decision forums, and release communications.
- Partner with design system owners, Foundations, accessibility, and content teams for component and library releases, deprecation, migration, and documentation.
- Facilitate alignment across design, product, engineering, and brand partners through preparing materials, capturing notes, and building communication artifacts.
- Coordinate checklists and logistics for quality and release activities, ensuring reviews and sign-offs are completed.
- Identify and surface risks and blockers, organize follow-ups, and support resolution.
- Schedule, prepare, and facilitate rituals like grooming, decision forums, and working sessions.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in design, human‑computer interaction, information systems, business, or related field, or equivalent experience.
- 4+ years of experience in digital product design operations, project coordination, production, or program management supporting software or experience design teams.
- Experience supporting cross‑functional teams delivering digital experiences across web, mobile, or in‑vehicle interfaces.
- Ability to organize complex information, maintain tracking systems, and create clear summaries and plans.
- Experience facilitating meetings or working sessions, including preparing agendas, documenting outcomes, and driving follow-up actions.
- Comfort working with modern design and work‑tracking tools.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a hybrid environment and report reliably to a GM location.
