Network Automation Engineer

GTT is seeking an experienced Network Automation Engineer to develop AI Ops platforms, agentic AI workflows, and automation solutions for a global carrier-class network. The role involves working at the intersection of software engineering, network automation, and AI-driven operations to enhance network management capabilities.

Responsibilities

• Defining and delivering an AI Ops network automation strategy aligned to business and customer outcomes
• Identifying and implementing automation across network provisioning, configuration, monitoring, and analytics
• Building and operating on-prem AI infrastructure, including GPU-enabled environments using Docker and Kubernetes
• Deploying and orchestrating agentic AI systems (e.g., LangChain, LangGraph)
• Embedding security best practices across AI pipelines (secrets management, access control, encryption, audit logging)
• Developing automation using Python, Ansible, YAML, and integrating into CI/CD pipelines
• Delivering network orchestration, inventory, telemetry, and NetFlow-based analytics for a carrier-grade environment
• Collaborating closely with software, platform, and network engineering teams globally

Requirements

• 4+ years across the full software development lifecycle in a network technology environment
• Strong Python and automation scripting experience
• Hands-on experience with Ansible and modern CI/CD workflows (GitHub, GitLab, Jenkins)
• Solid understanding of container lifecycle management and infrastructure automation
• Strong foundation in routing, switching, network platforms, and inventory systems
• Experience working with telemetry and high-volume network analytics
