Mid-Market Account Executive, Americas

Customer.io is a platform used by over 8,000 companies to send automated, relevant messages through email, push notifications, in-app messages, and SMS, leveraging real-time behavioral data. The company is expanding its sales team in the United States and is seeking motivated Account Executives at the Mid-Market level to drive growth and take their sales careers to the next level.

Location: United States

Salary: $95,000 base + $95,000 variable, total $190,000 OTE USD (or equivalent in local currency)

Responsibilities

  • Build and manage a sales pipeline through self-sourced and SDR-supported leads.
  • Lead full-cycle sales process from prospecting to closing, focusing on new business acquisition within targeted accounts.
  • Conduct discovery calls to understand customer needs and position Customer.io's solutions.
  • Collaborate with SDR team for lead quality feedback and with Customer Success and Technical Support for post-sale hand-offs.
  • Own and report on individual sales metrics, including pipeline status and progress towards targets.

Requirements

  • 2+ years of experience in full-cycle B2B SaaS or MarTech sales, handling mid-market accounts.
  • Candidates must be located in the UK, Ireland, or the Americas (Canada and the USA).
  • Proven success in new customer acquisition and closing deals within B2B SaaS, preferably MarTech.
  • Familiarity with MEDDPICC or similar sales framework supporting consultative selling.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong problem-solving skills to identify customer needs and position solutions.
  • Experience handling mid-market accounts with shorter sales cycles and deals typically under $50,000 ACV.
  • Ability to work closely with SDR team for lead generation, managing inbound and self-sourced opportunities.
