Maintenance Technician

The Sivananda Ashram Yoga Retreat is seeking a Maintenance Technician to handle general repairs and upkeep of their facilities on Paradise Island, Bahamas. The role involves maintaining a safe, functional, and welcoming environment for guests and staff through various maintenance tasks.

Location: Paradise Island, Bahamas

Responsibilities

• Handling plumbing repairs such as replacing faucets, clearing clogs, repairing toilets, and fixing leaks.
• Performing basic electrical work including replacing light fixtures, outlets, switches, and troubleshooting electrical issues.
• Carpentry tasks like repairing doors, cabinets, shelves, and light woodwork or hardware replacements.
• Painting and drywall repairs, including patching holes, sanding, and touch-ups.
• Tiling repairs, including replacing damaged tiles, regrouting, and sealing.

Requirements

• Proven experience as a Maintenance Technician or similar role.
• Hands-on proficiency with hand tools, power tools, and basic plumbing/electrical equipment.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to high-quality workmanship.
• Ability to work independently and manage daily tasks.
• Legally authorized to work in The Bahamas.
