Junior Cloud Engineer - Windows Administrator

Netrix Global is seeking a proactive Cloud Engineer with experience in managing patching, compliance, and endpoint lifecycle operations across Windows and macOS environments. The role focuses on driving continuous patch compliance, reducing vulnerabilities, and ensuring timely remediation, with opportunities to expand into Microsoft 365, Azure, and other managed services.

Location: Remote (US)

Responsibilities

  • Own end-to-end patching lifecycle across RMM/MDM environments for Windows Servers, Windows Workstations, and macOS endpoints.
  • Drive patch compliance SLAs including monthly remediation and quarterly OS upgrades.
  • Establish and execute patch cadences aligned with risk severity and business impact.
  • Monitor, report, and improve compliance posture across managed environments.
  • Identify and remediate patch failures, drift, and systemic compliance gaps.
  • Plan and execute OS upgrades with minimal disruption and validated rollback strategies.
  • Support adjacent service areas including Microsoft 365 administration, Azure platform operations, end-user issue resolution, and backup monitoring.
  • Utilize patching and endpoint management platforms such as Microsoft Intune, Jamf, N-able / RMM tools, SCCM / Endpoint Manager.
  • Drive automation of patch deployment, compliance reporting, and failure remediation workflows.
  • Act as a proactive interface between engineering and customer stakeholders to drive remediation accountability.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in information technology or related field, or equivalent experience.
  • 1-3 years of hands-on experience in IT infrastructure support and management of core technology stack of Servers and Workstations.
  • Support experience with Windows Server and Windows Workstation environments.
  • Strong understanding of Windows OS, including installation, configuration, troubleshooting, and upgrades.
  • Knowledge of patch deployment, compliance monitoring, and vulnerability remediation.
  • Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication and documentation skills.

Additional Information
