The Commercial Growth Leader is a senior leadership role responsible for driving strategic growth for a growing MGA through expanding distribution and developing new insurance programs, leveraging deep Property and Casualty expertise.

Responsibilities
- Cultivate and maintain relationships with wholesale and retail distribution partners to drive program placement and premium growth.
- Represent the organization at industry associations and events.
- Negotiate and manage distribution and strategic partnership agreements.
- Lead and manage the Business Development Team, providing mentoring, coaching, and training.
- Conduct sales meetings, prospecting sessions, and pipeline reviews.
- Oversee sales activity and pipeline management through CRM platforms.
- Identify new program opportunities by monitoring market trends, emerging risks, and competitor activity.
- Conduct market assessments for prospective programs.
- Develop business cases for new program opportunities.
- Partner with internal teams to define program structures, coverage forms, underwriting guidelines, and rating frameworks.
- Assist in the end-to-end program launch process.
- Collaborate with marketing to develop go-to-market strategies.
- Monitor and report on program performance metrics.
- Act as a key voice of the market internally.
- Build and sustain a high-performance culture within the team.
- Work with leadership to align growth strategies with organizational goals.
Requirements
- Minimum 10 years of experience in the insurance industry, with significant experience in MGA, wholesale brokerage, program administrator, or specialty carrier environment.
- 7+ years of experience in business development, sales management, or product/program development within the insurance industry.
- Deep understanding of the MGA/wholesale insurance marketplace.
- Established relationships with key wholesale and retail distribution partners.
- Relationships with carrier and reinsurance partners in specialty or program segments.
- Active involvement in industry associations like WSIA or TMPAA.
- Ability to identify program opportunities and translate insights into business plans.
- Strong contract negotiation skills.
- Exceptional relationship-building skills.
- Ability to lead cross-functional teams.
- Strong analytical skills.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Self-starter with initiative and accountability.
- Current P&C license or willingness to obtain.
