Graphic Designer

A part-time, contract graphic designer role for the milk + honey marketing team, focusing on email, social, and print design. The role requires collaboration with the senior designer and marketing team, with a focus on quality craft and conceptual thinking.

Location: Remote

Salary: $30-$40/hr

Responsibilities

• 50% email design — Promotional campaigns, lifecycle sequences, newsletters, seasonal launches built in collaboration with the marketing team and deployed across Klaviyo.
• 30% social media graphics — Organic and paid assets for Instagram, Facebook, and TikTok. Static images, carousels, story formats.
• 15% print design — Direct mail, in-spa collateral, and event materials. Print-ready files — bleed, resolution, and specs handled correctly.
• 5% special projects — Presentations, internal templates, brand support, and one-off creative needs.

Requirements

• Pixel-level precision; mastery of Adobe Creative Suite (Illustrator, Photoshop, InDesign).
• Strong grasp of typography, hierarchy, color theory, and visual balance.
• Experience designing emails with knowledge of how they are rendered in Klaviyo, light mode, and dark mode.
• Social media design experience across organic and paid formats.
• Comfortable with Figma and building landing pages and web banners.
• Print production fluency.

Additional Information

• This is a remote independent contractor engagement, project-based or retainer structure, primarily async work with occasional check-ins.
• Work involves collaboration with the team, access to brand assets, and the need for self-supplied software, hardware, and design environment.
• Success is measured by quality, craft, and trust built with the team, with initial goals of absorbing brand guidelines and delivering on-brand assets with minimal revisions.
