Engineering Manager

Calendly is seeking a hands-on Engineering Manager to lead technical teams in building and operating highly-available scheduling products at scale. The role involves leadership, technical expertise, and cross-functional collaboration to enhance a product used by millions.

Location: Remote (US)

Salary: $193,855–$281,888 USD (depending on tier)

Responsibilities

• Mentoring and growing engineering teams.
• Leading agile ceremonies and planning.
• Coaching, mentoring, and onboarding new engineers.
• Identifying future technical needs and creating plans.
• Providing feedback and guidance for growth and scaling.
• Hiring engineers for new and existing squads.

Requirements

• 2+ years managing a team of Software Engineers.
• 5+ years of development experience, ideally with TypeScript, Node.js, and React.
• Deep proficiency with distributed/data-oriented application development and SaaS.
• Experience leading large development projects.
• Experience mentoring teams and driving goals.
• Excellent communication skills.
• Experience leading Agile/Scrum ceremonies.
• Availability for on-call rotation.
• Authorized to work lawfully in the US.
