Editor Paginator

Pagemasters North America (PMNA) is seeking a temporary part-time copy editor/paginator to work in a fast-paced news environment for an American print newspaper client. The role involves remote work within Canada, primarily evenings and weekends, with responsibilities including copy editing, designing, proofreading, and headline writing for print newspapers.

Location: Canada

Salary: $21–$25 per hour

Responsibilities

• Copy editing, designing, and proofreading print newspaper pages
• Writing strong and accurate headlines and display copy
• Meeting daily deadlines while ensuring accuracy

Requirements

• Solid experience in copy editing, designing, and proofreading print newspaper pages
• Experience writing headlines and display copy
• Strong news judgment
• Ability to meet deadlines and attention to detail
• Customer service orientation
• Excellent oral and written communication skills
• Background in journalism
• Experience editing sports-related content (asset)
