Director of Commercial Operations

Curaleaf International is one of Europe's largest vertically integrated medical cannabis businesses, operating across multiple countries with EU GMP-certified production facilities. The company is experiencing rapid revenue growth and is building its commercial infrastructure to support scaling. The role of Director of Commercial Operations is newly created and focuses on developing demand-led commercial processes to enable business growth.

Location: UK, Spain or Portugal

Responsibilities

• Create a long term pipeline visibility with tools, templates, and disciplines for consolidated commercial performance view.
• Establish weekly market review cadence with country heads presenting pipeline, wins/losses, and pricing issues.
• Define and build processes for pipeline visibility and forecast accuracy for each market.
• Own the forward-looking commercial demand plan at SKU-level, market-by-market, based on market intelligence.
• Ensure demand signal is locked and signed off at each planning cycle start, for supply planning.
• Partner with Group Demand & S&OP Manager to integrate demand signal into S&OP process.
• Collaborate with Finance for monthly re-forecast process, ensuring demand changes are governed and visible.
• Perform SKU-level demand analysis for smaller entities.
• Conduct long-term portfolio planning with US team and regulatory insights for future launches.
• Create mid-high level long-term demand plans with market analysis for bi-annual handover to GMs.

Requirements

• 10+ years in commercial operations, merchandising, demand planning, or commercial excellence, with a track record of building these functions.
• Background in FMCG, prescription, pharmacy, or clinical channels preferred.
• Proven ability to design and implement sales governance frameworks and demand planning processes in multi-market environments.
• Strong analytical skills, comfortable with SKU-level demand models, margin analyses, and dashboards.
• Experience working with geo-based commercial teams in a matrix structure, influencing without direct authority.
