Care Assistant

Care and Support Workers assist clients with personal care, mobility, and support needs, promoting independence and dignity, excluding tasks requiring trained nursing qualifications.

Location: Cambridge, United Kingdom

Responsibilities

• Assist clients with personal care including dressing, washing, bathing, and toileting.
• Help clients with mobility and physical disabilities, including incontinence and use of aids.
• Care for temporarily sick clients and those who are terminally ill.
• Promote mental and physical activities through talking, outings, reading, hobbies, and recreation.
• Make and change beds, perform light cleaning, empty commodes, and tidy.
• Inspect, launder, and mend clients' clothes.
• Set tables and trays, prepare and serve light meals, and clean up.
• Read and write reports, participate in client reviews and training activities.
• Adhere to all policies and procedures.
• Report significant changes in clients' health or circumstances.
• Encourage clients' independence.
