Bilingual Medical Biller - Accounts Receivable & Revenue Cycle Specialist

Seeking a highly motivated, detail-oriented, and experienced Medical Biller for a growing orthopedic practice. The role involves AR cleanup, eligibility troubleshooting, denial resolution, and revenue cycle management across multiple locations.

Location: Colombia

Responsibilities

• Core AR Cleanup & Denials Management: Auditing, working, and resolving outstanding claims and denials, identifying denial trends, and pursuing appeals with payers.
• Financial Posting & Administrative Support: Processing and posting payments, tracking clinical documentation, and handling patient collections.
• Meticulous Documentation & Compliance: Maintaining detailed account notes for all revenue cycle activities.

Requirements

• Proficient in EMR systems, especially ModMed or similar platforms like eClinicalWorks, AthenaHealth, Kareo.
• Strong knowledge of orthopedic billing workflows, CPT/ICD-10 coding, modifiers, and surgical billing windows.
• Expertise in navigating insurance portals and clearinghouses such as Availity, Optum.
• Proactive organizational skills with a 'One Week Ahead' mindset.
• Excellent communication skills, accountability, and teamwork.
• Bilingual in English and Spanish is highly valued.
